Off Week: Visiting my Brother in Copenhagen

I have to say after almost 25 days of eating, sleeping, and breathing tennis in Greece I was pretty mentally exhausted. Every single week and almost day for that matter was almost the same with the exception of practice days versus match day my routines will vary. I absolutely love tennis, but it is amazing that even something that is one of my biggest passions can wear me down after awhile. By the end of my few tournaments, I was ready for not only a change of scenery, but also a few days removed from tennis.

I have spent the week visiting my younger brother who is currently studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark this semester. We have had an amazing time and I got the chance to visit castles, explore the city, and step away from tennis. Besides eating our way through the city, we also both went to a virtual reality gaming center, where we both experienced VR for the first time. That was quite the experience. It was my first time here and everything has been amazing except I will say it is quite an expensive city especially for someone on a tight budget!

As my off-week comes to an end, I have gone to the gym several times and maintained disciple with my diet and sleep schedule, but I am now itching to get back on a tennis court to train! I think this time away from tennis has been great because I have gotten to enjoy some quality time with family, explore a new city, and reset before I go back to a jam-packed several months of tennis!

I head off to Southern California soon then I am back to another preseason in Florida where I will be really pushing myself before I head overseas again. I look forward to updating everyone from Florida and promise that I will be back to my usual weekly updates!
